Simon began his radio career in 1986 at Radio Mercury in Crawley, Sussex.  Whilst there he held many positions including Programme Manager, Drivetime Presenter & Head of Music.  In 1999 his responsibilities were extended to cover DMG’s service in Tonbridge. Simon was appointed Programme Controller while the station was under the control of the GWR group in September 2000.

More recently Simon helped create Splash FM on the south coast as Programme Controller and Presenter.
